Day at the pumpkin patch

Since Nico and I are leaving for Texas tomorrow, John and I decided we needed to do something pumpkin-y with Nico this weekend. We found this really cute farm down in Olympia to go to. It was really neat. They had animals, like goats, llamas and donkeys. There was a carousel, which was really cool because it was powered by a guy pedaling. I'd never seen anything like that before. They also had a little train for the kids to ride, a corn maze and a hay maze. There was also food to buy too, so you could just make a whole day of it. A tractor took us out to the pumpkin patch where we found the perfect pumpkins for all of us. We let Nico walk a little in the pumpkin patch. He found a pumpkin he liked and sat right down with it. And then he decided to eat some dirt.

You can kind of see the dirt around his mouth in this picture. I tried to get it all off, but he really didn't want me to wipe his face. When I tried to put him back in the Ergo, he was really ticked off because he wanted to walk. But he was having a hard time because of all of the vines.
We also went to look at some of the animals. They had some baby goats inside a barn area with a a mama goat. The babies were so cute and sweet. I let Nico pet one of them, but he wasn't real sure that he actually wanted to touch it. One of the bigger goats sure wanted to see Nico though!

Oh, and they had those big wooden cut outs where you can stick your head in the hole for pictures. Nico was a farmer

and a cat in a pumpkin.

It was really a fun day. It's definitely something we'll do again next year!
