He missed his morning nap because we had to be there by about 10:30, so he was absolutely exhausted by the time we got home. The office is less than 5 minutes from our house and he actually fell asleep in the car on the way home. He didn't even wake up when I took him out of the car seat, so I just brought him up and put him right in his crib. He's probably starving too because he hasn't eaten since about 8:45 and it's now 12:05! But I guess tired won out today. As for the appointment, everything went really well. The doctor said he's really strong, strong shoulders and legs. But we already knew that! He was pretty impressed with how well Nico is sitting up and said that with the way he's developing (sitting, scooting/crawling) that he'd probably be walking by the time he's 11 months old. As for weight, he's now at 18 lbs. 7 oz., so he gained about 1 1/2 lbs. since his last appointment. But he's only grown about 1/4'' in length. Hmmm, I guess he might be a shorty. Nah, he's still in the 50th percentile for height. He had to get 3 shots too. Poor guy.
See his Daffy Duck band aids? He did a really good job though. He cried when the nurse stuck him, but as soon as I picked him up, he was smiling again. He's got such a good temperament. So we don't have to go back now until October for his 9 month check-up.
