My little chatter box

Nico has become really vocal lately. He's making all kinds of new noises and just talking all the time. His face gets very expressive, as though he's really trying to make a point. He'll look and listen as you talk to him and then start talking back. It's quite cute. Except when he does it at 2 am! Last night he woke around 2. He wasn't crying or upset, but just talking. I waited about 10-15 minutes before going to check on him to see if he'd go on back to sleep. When I went in, he was turned 180 degrees from where he started, wide awake and talking to himself. I left him for a few more minutes and when I went back, he had worked his way to the complete opposite end of his crib. I turned him around and handed him his paci and went to lay down on the couch. He talked for at least another 10-15 minutes, at least. I'm not sure how much longer because I fell asleep! I woke up around 3:30 and he was out. He didn't get up until 5:30 to eat. Then he woke up again around 7:30. He was in our bed at this point, so that's when we ALL woke up. I love that he wakes up happy, so glad to see us. John says it's the best part of his day waking up next to Nico and me.
It's really cool though now that Nico is moving and talking. He's like a little person! Not that he wasn't before, it's just that his personality is really starting to come out. Have I mentioned lately how awesome he is?

Just wait until he isn't just talking, but talking back. John, be sure he isn't as sassy as his mom.
