Farmer's Market
Nico took his first trip to the farmer's market today. It was actually my first trip to this particular one. We went to the one in downtown Tacoma. It was kind of small, but my friends tell me that as the season progresses there will be more booths with more produce (I'm hoping!). We probably would have had a little better time had it not been raining and cold! I mean, it is June 5th. I'm pretty much ready for summer. But it's seriously been in the 50's and raining all week! WAH! Okay, I'll stop crying now. So back to the market. I did find something I've never tried before: purple broccoli. It sounded interesting, so I decided to try some. I'm thinking I'll saute it with some garlic, olive oil and maybe a little lemon juice. We also found a dairy that does free home delivery! I've really been trying to buy more organic dairy because they say it's better for nursing moms, so this might be a good option for us. How cool to have our own milk man, huh? Well, it's about time to get Nico ready to go to John's swearing in. After this afternoon, he'll be a full fledged attorney! Yay!
