Cookie Monster is coming along!

Nico is going to be Cookie Monster for Halloween so I was sewing all weekend. It looks like we killed a smurf in here or something! There is blue fuzz everywhere! But the costume is coming along pretty nicely. Pretty much all I have left to do now is hem the legs and arms and attach the eyes. It has to be done by next weekend so I can bring it to Texas with us to show everyone. I took a few pictures the other day after finished attaching the arms to the jumpsuit. Here's what it looked like.


As you can see in the last one, the legs are definitely too long right now, but I had to make it that size for the rise to fit him. I think my boy has some stubby little legs! But I think it's going to turn out pretty cute.

Nico had his 9 month doctor's appointment yesterday, and I must say, the doctor was quite impressed with him. He couldn't believe how well Nico is walking . He kept saying what a great kid he is and that I must be really happy to have such a super baby. I mean, we already knew he was great, but it's kind of nice to hear the doctor say it too. All of the nurses were just in love with him too. They loved the little hat that he was wearing and of course his squeaky shoes. Although I think some of the other parents in the waiting room were getting a little annoyed by them. I guess those are probably shoes we should leave for home. But they're just so cute and they matched the shirt that he had on yesterday! Anyways, the doctor said that he can't wait to see Nico at his 1 year check to see what he's doing by then. Oh, and we didn't have to have any shots yesterday, so it was a good visit!
