Battle Wounds

Nico had his first "walking" accident yesterday. He's been getting more and more confident and trying to take more steps in the last few days. He actually took 9 consecutive steps last night! He's well on his way to being a biped. But he's still pretty wobbly and takes lots of tumbles. Yesterday afternoon he took a spill right into the edge of the entertainment center. He hit is face right under his eye and down by his mouth. He was a real trooper though. He only cried for a few seconds and as soon as I picked him up and talked to him, he stopped. But he did get a little battle wound. Here's a look from a few different angles.






That was just a few minutes after he did it. I thought he might end up with a black eye this morning, but it actually looks a lot better. There's still a small bruise, but nothing too noticeable. I know this is just the first of many bumps and bruises to come.
