Standing tall

Nico has been pulling himself up on the bed rails on our bed for a while, but this weekend he pulled up on the coffee table for the first time. Now that's all he does! Here he is in action.
First he starts out on his tummy.

Then he pulls himself up to his knees.

Then all the way to standing!

He's such a strong guy!
He also figured out how to stand up in his crib this weekend, too. Sunday morning he woke up at about 3:45 am. I rolled over and told John to go get him. Apparently he kind of dozed off again and about 5 minutes later I told him again to go get him. Nico was being kind of quiet by this time but I had a sudden feeling that he might be up to no good. When John got in there, he said Nico was standing up looking over the edge of the crib. Good thing he didn't decide to take a dive. Anyway, we decided we needed to lower his mattress. While John was working on lowering it, he somehow broke one of the support beams on the crib. Ooops! Luckily for us, the crib is under a voluntary recall. We had been debating whether or not we were going to send in the parts to get our voucher, but this little turn of events made up our mind for us. So, Nico's been sleeping in our bed for the past few nights. He's done really well so far at night, but he does not want to nap in there! He hasn't had a nap that's lasted more than 30 minutes in 2 days. Ugh! They said the voucher should be here in a week or so. I sure hope so, because I miss having a crib!
