A day at the zoo!

This weekend John, Nico and I went to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. We met up with some other families from a cloth diapering forum that I belong to. It was a lot of fun to talk cloth with other people who love it as much as I do! When I told John the night before that we were meeting at the zoo at 10:30 am, he said, "That early?" I wanted to know what time HE would have chosen and he said that 1 pm sounded like a good time. Ha! He's obviously never been to the zoo with kids before! So we got to the zoo at around 10:30 and didn't leave until 5ish. By the end of the day, John understood why it was necessary to get there so early. He decided that parent time is about 2 hours slower than regular time. It just takes us so much longer to do anything. Especially when there are 5 families with small children trying to make their way through the zoo. We were constantly stopping to change diapers or feed babies. But we all had a really good time!

Here's Nico and me looking at the flamingos! Apparently it was a big deal for the flamingos to be there. They had signs everywhere saying, "The flamingos are here!"

When we stopped for lunch, we got the guys to change the babies while we looked at each others diapers. Now I've got some new things on my wish list!

Here's Nico and me with our new friends Justine and Bo. Bo is almost 3 months old. Isn't he a cutie?

And here are all of us mamas! From left to right: Rachel with Cooper, Meagan and Hannah (with her back to us), Justine and Bo, Me and Nico, Beth with Elias and Anna, and Rochelle with Tristin and Tattem.
We all decided that we'll have to do this again next year when the penguins will be there!
