4th of July

I know it's a little late, but we've just been really busy on our vacation here in Texas. I finally got some pictures of the day uploaded and since Nico has decided to take a good nap today, I've got a little time to update everyone. The day before we left WA, I finally got around to making Nico his 4th of July diaper. I used the same pattern that I used for his Cinco de Mayo diaper and just assumed it would fit. Well, I was wrong. I guess he's grown quite a bit in those 2 months, because the velcro around his belly almost didn't fit. But we were able to get it on him and get a few pictures anyways on the 4th.

See how cute it is with his festive shirt? Too bad it was just too small. He wore it for about half an hour or so and then I changed him and put his navy blue shorts on.

He still looked really cute though. Teresa and Brynn came over that afternoon with their new baby, Alexis Grace. She is so precious. She's teeny tiny with lots of brown hair. It made me miss having a tiny baby.

After they left, we cooked out fajitas with the family. Everything was really yummy! (Everyone said the meat was good too.) That night we went and parked at one of the businesses on Georgia to watch the fireworks.

This was before Nico fell asleep. He sacked out right before the fireworks started and slept right through them. I guess I didn't really need to worry about him being scared! Maybe next year he'll be interested in watching them.
