Rose garden

Sunday was such a beautiful day here! One of the few we've had this year, so we decided to go down to Point Defiance and enjoy it. There's a really neat rose garden there. The flowers were lovely. Here's Nico stopping to smell the roses.

I was so worried about his little head getting sun burned. We forgot to bring sunscreen. I know, bad Mommy!

Get it? Flower bed? Yep, I thought it was kind of cheesy too.
Nico fell asleep not too long after this, so I was able to put his hood up over his head to avoid any burning. But he did miss getting to see the turtles and ducks in the pond. Not that he would have really cared anyways probably.
Afterwards, we went over to Mike and Carol's for a Father's Day dinner. Nico and I just crashed.

John really enjoyed his first Father's Day, though, so all of our hard work was worth it. He told me that Nico has to make him some artwork every year. I guess I've got my work cut out for me!
